Any Jack Wrangler fans here? Do any of you have opinions as to what his best gay movies are? So far as the straight movies go, I think "Jack 'n' Jill" is superb. I'd love to see it restored and released on Blu-Ray. What are Wrangler's best gay movies in terms of hardcore action?

The only Gay Film I've seen from Jack Wrangler has been Kansas City Trucking Company (1976) which was really good. That whole Joe Gage Trilogy set from VCA (HIS) definitely needs a remaster !!!!

Hey, thanks! The only good Jack Wrangler gay film I have seen so far is Navy Blue (1979), and that's just for one hardcore scene with him and George Payne, that plus the fact that it is plot-driven and features some views of New York City in the late '70s.

I've enjoyed his acting. I haven't seen many of his gay titles yet due to the horrific transfers most have. I really liked him in Heavy Equipment, a film that screams for a far better release.

A restored version of Heavy Equipment (which I have not seen) would be amazing, as it is in 3D. I think Vinegar Syndrome is going to release their first 3D Blu-Ray soon, and 3D adult films might make an interesting box set.

Totally agree about Jack n' Jill, he also is very memorable in the porn roughie Summer Heat (79).
The Joe Gage and Amero films are all worthwhile but yeah it would be good to see them get the Vinegar Syndrome treatment. I wonder how the gay titles do for VS?

GGG is a Wrangler fan as well, I used to have this pic as my avatar.

They have said they sold horrifically poorly and they are not releasing any more.

There are many things that are great about the photo above. Thanks for sharing.

Very disappointing. I think there has to be a significant gay audience for these films but the traditional cult/horror audience of VS is probably not the right one.
These days even softcore and hardcore is often belittled on VS's FB by horrorbros.

Perhaps their strategy of releasing Bressan's films via PinkLabel.tv makes more sense to reach a more sympathetic queer audience.

Most of Arthur Bressan's releases aren't through Vinegar Syndrome. Vinegar Syndrome did the scans for Passing Strangers and Forbidden Letters. They are actually released through The Bressan Project. From their website: "Launched in 2018 by Arthur’s sister Roe Bressan and LGBT film historian Jenni Olson, The Bressan Project is devoted to the preservation and promotion of the films of Arthur J. Bressan, Jr."
Buddies was released through Vinegar Syndrome. And Gay U.S.A. was released through Frameline.

Got'cha. The important thing is to get these films out there, good to see VS working with others.
